Unsettled Waters contains a collection of thought provoking images from the reflective waters of the Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India.

Unsettled Waters is a photo book featuring 55 photographs from the Dal Lake, Srinagar, photographed by Arvind Hoon over a period of 4 years. It captures the myriad moods of the Dal, as captured by and on its mirror like surface. Edited by Sanjeev Saith, the book is a powerful visual narrative on Kashmir, stirring the viewer immediately by its thought provoking title, 'Unsettled Waters'.  

About the Author


Arvind Hoon is a fine art photographer from India, who developed his  professional photography practice in hospitality so that he could travel with his camera to capture the side lights. His work deals with nature and objects in an abstractive manner. His work on Gurgaon (Night Moves) was shown at ‘Millennium Dreams’ exhibition in 2014. He was featured as a part of the Luciano Benetton Collection, (Imago Mundi )Venice Biennale 2013. He participated in the 'image revisited' Art Chennai in 2012 with his Glass Edge series.
