Beautiful incidents that made them fall in love with each other are described intricately and form the core of the book. Erich Segal had originally intended Love Story to be a screenplay. It was first released as a book and went on to storm the publishing world. It featured for 41 weeks on The New York Times Bestselling List and was translated into 20 languages. The movie followed the book in the year 1970. It was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won five Golden Globes.
About the Author:
Eric Segal was a Greek and Latin professor at Harvard, Yale and Princeton University. He wrote several novels as well as screenplays for movies and television. His bestsellers and other novels include: Fairy Tale Oliver’s Story Doctors The Class Man, Woman and Child Segal married Karen James in the year 1975 and had two daughters. He died due to Parkinson’s disease in the year 2010.
