Matthew, an imaginative five-year-old boy follows a red fox that is walking on his back legs and wearing a blue bandana and a baseball cap on backwards to a house in an old big Oak tree. Peeking in the window, he overhears the animals discussing what is needed to have an animal parade. They need a leader with a golden baton and a large dog. Without these the much-anticipated parade cannot be held. Matthew convinces the brown bear, that looks like Pooh Bear, that Matthew should lead the parade with his make shift golden baton and his dog Max should also be in the parade.
