About the Book
Editors Garlen and Sandlin present readers with a collection of contributions focused on the employment of various aspects of the Disney corporation's cultural imprint as a teaching tool, analyzing the messages Disney conveys through various aspects of its interaction with fans. The editors have organized the fifteen selections that make up the main body of the text in four parts devoted to teaching gender, teaching race, teaching consumers, and teaching ourselves. Julie C.
