About the Book
A Different Kind of Alien Invasion As told through 4 cyclical perspectives, the Tetrad is a different (and at times chilling) take on the old alien-invasion theme, and its notable absence of shoot-'em-up wanton destruction results in an interesting story with numerous plot twists and ironic surprises. Whereas a great deal of science fiction relies on the "wow" factor, Goss has instead interwoven hefty doses of the occult and political intrigue into his novel, which is, at the end of the day, a product of its time, as well as an out-of-the-closet culmination of years of rumors about extraterrestrials, their alleged technology, and conspiracy theories. Readers who enjoy the emotional aspects of literature will incline to understand and sympathize with the main character, Vera Quenby Stilwell, about what it is like to be different only to have the situation turn the other way over, while other, scientifically inclined readers will enjoy the almost Vernean descriptions of various exotic gadgets and their applications, all set in the backdrop of the author's native West Los Angeles. All readers with active imaginations will find the story's imagery intense. There will be no indifference.
