About the Book
‘We’ll meet on the last Saturday of every month,
whenever our schedules permit. Just the five of us.
Brunch. Either at our houses or breakfast joints or
our clubs. Catch up with our lives. Meditate together a bit. Tell
each other feel-good stories. How does that sound?’
Just the thing for a group of forty-something women who feel their lives need a pickme-
up. But even the most straightforward plan might lead to complex consequences. A
dancing diva meditates herself into a torrid love affair with the thirty-year-old son of her
best friend. A son listens to his mother’s babyhood trauma of molestation. The mighty
Garuda has to fly down to impart sense to some troubled teens, and TV anchor Mira
shakes hands with Narad, the heavenly minstrel. Weaving through this motley crowd is
Alison Jordan, an Indophile with golden hair and green eyes filled with both humour and
sorrow. She tells beautiful stories, has a penchant for quality tea and is in the pursuit of
salvation.
Join the Kitty Party Sannyasins on their quest for a happier life.
