About the Book
This collection of papers is from the 1995 TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, February 12-16, 1995. The interdisciplinary character of process mineralogy requires the co-operation of mineralogists and engineers with diverse backgrounds, expertise and interests. This interaction is reflected by the contents of this volume, which address applications of process mineralogy to mineral beneficiation, liberation, agglomeration, coal, precious metals, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, environment, health, ceramics, refractories and mineral exploration. Specialized analysis techniques are discussed such as cathodoluminescence, image analysis, x-ray diffraction and microbeam methods (for example, SEM-EDS, EPMA and scanning force microscopy).
