About the Author
Mike Brind spent years in sales and marketing before discovering HTML in 1999. As a direct marketing consultant, he learned various databases in 2001and pulled together web pages using classic ASP in 2002. In 2005, he migrated to ASP.NET and has never looked back. He is currently the Operations Director of ITEC Systems, which develops ITRIS Recruitment Software, and, among other things, he manages the web development part of the business. He was awarded MVP for ASP/ASP.NET by Microsoft in 2008-2010, is a moderator and is one of the top 5 all-time contributors at Microsoft's official ASP.NET forums. He's worked with WebMatrix since its first Beta release, answering user questions on the product and blogging about it at www.mikesdotnetting.com .
Imar Spaanjaars is a Microsoft ASP.NET MVP working for for Design IT (www.designit.nl), an IT company in the Netherlands specializing in Internet and intranet applications built with Microsoft technologies like ASP.NET. As a technical director and software designer, he's responsible for designing and building medium- to large-scaled e-commerce web sites and portals. He's also the tech lead for Dynamicweb Nederland, the Dutch branch of the popular Danish Content Management System Dynamicweb (www.dynamicweb.nl).
