The theory of legal acts as the core of the General Part of the German Civil Code (BGB) is taught in the first semester and is intended as training in the classification and conceptuality of the BGB. Particularly great demands are to be made here on the dogmatics of legal acts and the systematic consistency and self-containedness of its central terms. The new presentation develops the BGB's legal acts dogmatics in the intellectual regime of the legal opinion, in other words, as required by the thought processes for developing foundations for a claim.
