The Bibliography of Japan is an attempt to record completely all German-language publications, with precise bibliographic details, and make that record available to researchers and other interested persons in book form. Volume 1 of Series A contains additional information on the location of listed works. All the material relating to Japan is covered, since the first publications at the end of the 15th century up to today. Series A, already published, includes monographs, maps and periodicals, and Series B covers articles. Several indexes are provided. All titles can be found in a cross-referenced index, which can be accessed by person (author, translator, editor etc.), title, keyword and subject. Also included is an index of publication dates.
