A discussion of developing literacy in bilingual pupils aged four to 11. It begins with a general exploration of the issues involved and then introduces theory and concepts. It includes case studies on oral work; using poems, songs and rhymes; discussing books; involving parents; developing literacy in maths, science and humanities; ICT; and whole-school approaches.
