Biomolecules are organic molecules produced by living organisms that are primarily composed of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen. This book discusses the general concepts of various biomolecules with reference to structure, function, metabolism and biological sequence. About The Author:

Dr. T. Devasena, Visiting Faculty, Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Anna University Chennai, received her Ph.D degree in Biochemistry from Annamalai University. Previously she worked as a lecturer in biotechnology in Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal. Having more than five years of teaching and research experience, she has published numerous research articles in reputed national and international journals. She is the recipient of the Tamil Nadu Young Women Scientist Award instituted by Tamil Nadu Government, and the Junior Scientist Award and Environmentalist Award from NESA. She has also authored two books related to Biochemistry.
