This volume contains proceedings from the fourth Rannsachadh na Gidhlig conference held at Sabhal Mr Ostaig on Skye (Scotland) in July 2006. The volume includes papers seven papers in English text and seven papers in Gaelic text on Scottish Gaelic history, language, literature, and culture from early Christian times to the present. In addition to Scotland, there is material relating to Ireland, Scandinavia, England, and Canada.
