About the Book
Climate change due to human activities is one of the greatest global concerns for humanity these days. This is perhaps also resulted out of indifferences including human ignorance or unawareness about the fragility of their environment at large. These activities have increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, especially carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and others such as CFCs that cause ozone depletion and other meteorological imbalances. Reports revealed that the temperature of the earth has risen constantly from 0.74 °C in the late 1800s and since then expected to increase by another 1.8 °C to 4"C by the year 2100 A.D. The unprecedented acceleration in the change of climate has resulted in erratic climatic behavior, green house effects, global warming resulting in the rise in sea level and many other threatening inconveniences to man and other forms of living organisms at large.
