Cervical carcinoma still constitutes a great clinical and social problem. Despite splendid diagnostic methods we currently have at our disposal, such as cytology and colposcopy, and an easy access to the cervix permitting its evaluation, cervical carcinoma is still on the top of the list of genital organ malignancies.
