This is the sequel to "Darkness Bright: Incandescence." The companions, led by Malick and Laric, have defeated the first of Satyr's designs against their nation, but True Night has arrived, and with no sun, and perpetual twilight, the companions' vision for their new order is unclear. As new threats arise, the companions must divide their numbers to deal with the new dangers; political, personal, and new creatures escaped from the ever-present Abyss. As the Dark Planet Nemesis, Satyr's prison, closes upon Ayrth, and the Seal over the Abyss weakens, the friends will be torn asunder and forced to make choices that will save or doom their world.
