This volume contains the proceedings of the Fifth European Conference on the Spectroscopy of Biological Molecules. It provides a critically comparative review of the research progress in the field of molecular structure, chemical bonding, and dynamics of biological molecules such as nucleic acids, proteins, membranes, enzymes and drugs. The spectroscopic methods employed to study the above systems are mainly infrared and Raman, including NMR, CD, absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies.
