About the Author
Shagufta, Faculty, P.G. Department of Environmental Sciences, A.N. College, Patna, Magadh University, is M.Sc. in Zoology (Patna University) and Ecology and Environment (IIEE, New Delhi). She is a dedicated teacher and an outstanding researcher. She has been a recipient of Special State Merit Scholarhip throughout her college and university years.

The author has completed her Ph.D. research work on 'Seasonal Fluctuation in Blood Glucose and Glycogen and their Hormonal Regulation with reference to Male and Female, Immature, Mature and Senile, Common Indian Fowl, Gallus gallus'. She has 10 research papers to her credit, published in various reputed journal and books. She has attended and presented papers in more than thirty International and National Conferences and Seminars on environment. She is the member of environment wing, Conferences and Seminars on environment. She is the member of environment wing, Confederation of Indian Graduates (CIG). Besides, she is actively engaged in environmental awareness and enrichment campaign and various activities to work for the causes of environmental degradation and conserve environment, both inside and outside the college campus. She is totally devoted to promote education and is currently engaged in textbook writing as a mission. She has delivered guest lectures in Oxford, Oxford College, Winchester, U.K on various issues of Environment. She has attended International Conference on waste management in Winchester U.K in October 2009.
