The Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology, Bundelkhand Universityorganized a national conference on the role of forensic science in crimeinvestigation during February 13-14, 2002. The national conference was the firstever in the State of Uttar Pradesh and was well attended by practicing forensicscientists from all over India. This volume is an outcome of the conference and has a total of twenty research papers pertaining tovarious aspects of forensic science.
