About the Book
This introductory biostatistics text is for graduate or upper-level undergraduate students interested in medicine or other health-related areas, says Rosner, and requires no previous background in statistics and requires only algebra for mathematics. His goal is to help students master the statistical methods that are most often used in the medical literature, using examples and exercises that reflect what actually exists in the literature. His topics include descriptive statistics, continuous probability distributions, hypothesis testing, regression and correlation methods, and design and analysis techniques for epidemiologic studies.
