He is an elected Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering and a life member/Fellow of many professional bodies.He has been working as Professor since 2003 in Electronics and Communication department of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. Prior to this, he served Indian Space Research Organization in several capacities including as Programme Director. His areas of interest are in Satellite communication and Remote sensing.
