Guidance is counselling or advice on educational, vocational or physhcological matters. Guidance as an organised activity is nascent in India, though it was in vogue in developed western countries since very long. Only recently its need is being felt as such trained professionals are engaged for guidance and counselling at various levels.
Guidance is also necesary for career planning. As such in the modern age of advanced technology career planning is much emphasised. As such a careful and calculated guidance is the need of hour.

G.D. Gururani (b.1943) earned his postgraduation in Hindi, Sanskrit and Sociology besides a degree in Education from Lucknow University.
