About the Book
In this book of poetry, you will discover that the author deals with subjects such as Low self-esteem, rejection and sexual abuse to name a few. She expounds on topics Like My Reflection, The inner child, and The Peter Pam Syndrome, which is about an adult who has been abused as a child, but is afraid to come out of hiding? The key is looking at your past and embracing it instead of running from it. You don't embrace it to become a victim again; you embrace it for healing and to move forward in your inner self. Healing takes place first in your mind. That is why it is so important to have positive thoughts about yourself. The author herself is a product of childhood abuse, and has discovered that God beckons us to be free from our hurts and wounds. He wants to change our damaged inner vision on how we view ourselves. So we can be the person He created us to be. We are not the persons someone told us we were by their mistreatment of us. Mary Wroten is a member of the International Society of Poets.
