About Author : Dr. Barun Kumar Chakravarti is a Ph.D. from Calcutta University. He did his post-graduate Diploma in Nutritional Science from all India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health. Later he did postgraduate Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management from University of Rajasthan and Diploma in Teachers' Training from Bombay.Dr. Chakravarti was a recipient of a visitorship offered by the British Council and he extesnively travelled and visited the various catering schools and research organisation in U.K. He also visited France, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg and West Germany to study the catering pattern of those countries in 1979.
