About the Book
In a country teeming with millions of illiterates any promise to hasten the eliminationof illiteracy through innovative tools will have an instant appeal. Instructional Technology holds out one such promise. It seeks to reinforce the attack on illiteracy, with the aid of radio, television, film, cassette, computer and satellite programmes. Apart from limited objective of improving the quality of teaching in the existing educational institutions, it proposes to make a dent into the vast area of darkness where facilities for learning do not exist. The crux of the problem lies int he application of instructional technology in the limited field of formal and non-formal education. It cannont be denied that instructional technology, as is bieng out, is capital-intensive appropriate indigenous technology.
