About the Book
The present study deals with the nature, causes and consequences of internal migration in India. It contains 31 research papers written by both young and experienced researchers. Both theoretical and empirical issues have been covered. Volurne I contains several papers which deal with theoretical issues on internal migration as well as some state-specific empirical studies. Volume II contains state-specific and sector specific empirical issues. Most of the researchers have put into their best to make an in-depth analysis on the issues selected for study. Migration of workers from one region to another region within a country reflects dualism in development.
