Orphaned in her teens, Patti dreamed of a better life than the one she had in the nearly impoverished section of Cleveland. Attaining her dream and falling into the CINDERELLA syndrome, with people and living the life of a young Shaker Heights society matron, her obligations and expectations manifested in great unhappiness. Possessed by a husband who spent all his free time with friends and his mother, who counted who and where you were as supreme, she reached a breaking point. She had to make a choice and it led her to travel, murder, and eventually love with a new understanding of herself... far away in England in the little Kersey cottage.
