About the Author
Michelle Magorian was born in 1947 and has lived and studied all over the world. She studied at Marcel Marcheau's L'ecole International de Mime in Paris and has worked in theatre, television and films ever since. Her award-winning first novel, Goodnight, Mr Tom has been translated into eleven languages, adapted for stage and radio and a BAFTA award winning TV film, starring the late John Thaw. Michelle's extensive list of awards includes the Costa Prize and the Guardian Children's Fiction Award.
