Copper, along with many other elements, produces a unique sheen when it is introduced to water. That sheen is called the "patina." As we are subject to the Living Water and the elements of God's Word, there should be a visible change produced in us. The Christian culture timidly tends to resist this change and tries to appeal to the world by worldly means. We refuse the allure that God offers us.
