About the Book
Cardiologist O’Connor and general practitioner Baker have collaborated to provide a problem-solving and rational approach to the symptoms and problems with which patients present. Explanations of current cardiology investigations and their inter-pretation are given. Guidance on management emphasises careful history taking, physical examination and appropriate investigation and treatment. Each chapter deals with a different cardiology problem (e.g. risk factors) symptom (e.g. chest pain), or abnormal physical findings (e.g. a murmur). An important feature is that the reader is brought up-to-date with the great advances that have recently in the management of hospital in-patients. This book is copiously illustrated with ECGs, scans, x-rays, line drawings, tables and photographs.
