About the Book
On October 1, 2002, the Katholieke Universitet Leuven inaugurated its new library for its Sciences and Engineering campus. This unique occasion was celebrated with an academic session. It was felt, however, that an academic institution should not let such an occasion pass by without organizing a critical reflection on the role of the library for the Sciences in the 21st century.
