A thematic anthology of short stories, poetry, plays and essays with extensive rhetorical instruction. Emphasis is placed on intertextuality - the way that texts, including the student's own writing, grow out of other texts. This approach highlights the connection between reading and writing and encourages students to enter into a conversation with literature.
