About the Book
The Indian retail landscape is evolving with a dynamic interplay of several demographic and economic factors. Businesses, in an increasing number of countries, are seeking international competitive advantage through Retail innovation. Liberalization of the Indian government\'s policies and the resulting decrease in the number of geographically protected market niches have further boosted this process. With the objective of understanding the various issues, the Department of Business Management, Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai, had organised a one day International Research Conference on Retail Management. Research papers presented in this seminar have addressed the issues of e-retailing, Retailing in Financial Services, Retail Shoppers Behaviour, Store/Mall Management, Visual Merchandising, etc. This book is a compilation of the selected 64 research papers. The book has deliberated upon some of the current issues to draw viable solutions and to suggest the ways to fortify research in Retail areas for win-win outcomes.
