Volume 3 in the Rock Art Studies series gives an overview of the state of research into rock art that is taking place around the world and shows the very varied approaches to rock art studies in different parts of the world. It presents examples from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, Mexico and Central America, as well as South America. Some areas focus on discovery, others more on dating or interpretation, while management and conservation are of increasing importance in many regions.
