Salman Khurshid studied at St. Stephans college, Delhi University, and St. Edmund Hall, Oxford. He then taught law at Trinity college, Oxford. He was Deputy Minister of Commerce and Minister of state for External Affairs (1991-6). He was twice Congress President in Uttar Pradesh (U.P.). A renowned legal thinker and a practicing Senior Advoate of the Supreme Court of India, he is known for his deep interest in several fields of Human endeavour.
