About the Author Dr. Joseph John graduated from KMC Manipal and completed his post graduation in the specialty of Preventive & Community Dentistry from SDM College of dental sciences Dharwad. Dr.John joined as a lecturer in Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and there started his journey towards academic excellence in the field of Preventive & Community Dentistry. He heads the Department of Preventive and Community dentistry and was one of the first in the state to develop a separate state of the art department for the specialty. Dr. John and his faculty have worked hard and steadfast for the overall upliftment of the department. He has several presentations and publications to his credit. Dr. John has held and still holding several reputed posts of which Member of PG board of studies in TN Dr. MGR Medical University. And is currently member of UG and PG board of studies Meenakshi University and Member of academic council of the same University.
