When a young woman plants a magic seed, a flower bud grows. Inside is a tiny child, the size of the woman's thumb, and so the woman calls the little girl Thumbelina. One night, Thumbelina is captured by an ugly toad, who arranges for her son to marry the little girl. Eventually, Thumbelina is led to a kingdom of tiny people just like her and marries the fairy prince. Children will love guessing the transformation on each page when the flap is lifted.
