The first entry in a series of fictional memoirs chronicles Robin Marie Talbin's life in an interactive dialogue with the reader. It does not recount the all-too-often portrayed downtrodden and tragic existence of a Black woman. Instead, the ordinary sufferings of a bright mind hampered by gender and race are revealed in realistic--sometimes uncomfortable--ways.
