In case of cheque payments, orders will be processed only after clearance of the cheque. We accept cheques which are payable "at par" at New Delhi. Do make sure that your book is NOT shown as Out of Stock on uRead.com before you send us your payment.

If the value of your order is less that R200, add R40 as shipping charges. We will process your order upon receiving your payment and your book will be couriered to you, or sent by Government Registered Post if there is no Courier Service operational in your area.

Enclose a covering letter with the name and author of the book, your Shipping Address, Phone Number and Email Address. Kindly also send us an email informing us that you have sent your DD/Cheque. It will help us process your order quicker.

For payments through Money Orders, send them to the address mentioned above. Please intimate us in advance before sending the Money Order.

Payment by Cash on Delivery (COD) Order in India:

What is Cash On Delivery?

Cash On Delivery (COD) is a payment option offered to you wherein you order the Book(s) on uRead and pay at your doorstep on delivery. The Cash will be collected by our Representative Courier partner delivering the Book(s).

Which Book(s) can be ordered by COD payment option?

With the exception of Non-Returnable and POD (Print On Demand) titles, all titles can be ordered via the COD payment option wherever COD services are offered by our Courier partners. Please put your Pin Code in the following point to check whether your destination is enabled for COD services.

Please note that Non-Returnable and POD (Print On Demand) titles can ordered by only Prepaid payment methods like Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Cheque / DD etc.

Non-Returnable titles : are those which have been classified as Non-Returnable under any circumstance by International Publishers / Vendor partners.

Print On Demand (POD) titles : are those which have been especially printed by the Publisher / Vendor partner only after an order for them has been received. They are also classified as Non-Returnable.

Non-Returnable and POD titles would have a icon against them signifying their status, so please order carefully.

Is COD available for my destination?

Currently, we are offering COD payment option to more than 2000 Pin Codes in India only. (See details/list of locations covered)

Do I have to pay any extra charges for availing the COD payment option?

No. When you choose to order by COD at uRead, you do not have to pay any extra charges. Please do NOT pay more than the order value of the Book(s) when they reach you.
However, in a rare case or eventuality, in case the delivery person of the Representative Courier partner insists for any additional amount (Delivery charges, Octroi, Taxes etc.), please pay and take a receipt. And INFORM us immediately and we will refund you with the ‘extra’ Amount you have paid.

What is the process/How do I place the COD orders?

Cash On Delivery payment option is currently available in India only.

The process –

• Choose the Book(s) you wish to order from uRead by using the ‘Add to cart’ option.
• After clicking on ‘Checkout’ – please verify the titles & quantities; and click on ‘Proceed to checkout’.
• If you already have an Account, ‘Login’ using your Email and Password. If not, please create your uRead.com New Account using your Email ID & and Password; and ‘Login’.
• Enter your shipping address and click on ‘Save and use this address’.
• On choosing the COD mode of payment (on the right hand side), your order will be created and an Order Confirmation mail with the Order no. will be sent to your Email ID.
• On delivery of your Book(s), please pay the Cash amount as required.

Other Terms and Conditions

• Cheques/Demand Drafts/Money orders will not be accepted once you choose to pay by COD.
• Delivery of orders will be done Address specific and not person specific
• The maximum order value for COD is Rs. 50,000
• Discount Coupons for extra discounts can be availed while using the COD option.
• In case of Returns under the COD option, the refunds will be made vide Pay Order/Demand Drafts. Standard Returns policy will apply for other deductions, if any.
