It is a discipline that involves disaster response such as emergency evacuation, quarantine, mass decontamination, etc. and also supporting and rebuilding society after natural or human-made disasters have occurred. Disaster management is a multidisciplinary activity involving a number of a number of Departments/agencies spanning across all sectors of development.
